Golden-winged Warbler vocalizing:

I believe that this adult male songbird was singing / calling to establish its territory, as this spot is a common breeding site for these species in Northern New Jersey.

Tip:

I was going through my old videos and I happened to stumble upon this short recording. Funny thing is, that I visited this location several times since then, with better equipment, and was never able to record these birds to sing again. Over the years of photographing wildlife, I’ve learnt this one valuable lesson. Always take advantage of the situation to the fullest. You never know when you will have a chance to photograph it again!
