Sanderling bathing - East Coast, USA

Backlit photograph of a Sanderling bathing in the morning light:

Sanderling ( Calidris alba ) bathing at sunrise - Tri-state area, East Coast, USA

I just love those water droplets glowing as the sun was rising. Shorebirds were very cooperative that morning and they kept bathing at the front of me for over 45 minutes😍 I have plenty more photographs and videos to share. Stay tuned!

This photograph was taken at my newest favorite location to photograph shorebirds during their southbound migration which is great for these kind of shots for both morning and afternoon shoots. I will be including detailed information on this spot in my upcoming guide to photographing shorebirds in the tri-state area. If you are interested, I’m currently offering it at the discounted price: https://www.greggard.com/location-guides/shorebirds-tri-state-nj-ny-ct-photography-ebook

I can’t wait for you to visit this location 😁
