Did you notice how at the end of this short clip, adult bird checks if chick is still hungry? It pretends that it is giving him food and if he reacts by opening its beak, he will be fed. Pretty neat, isn’t it?

Notice the food stash at the from the nest πŸ™ˆ These young hawks are often fed with a caught nearby rats, squirrels, chipmunks and even birds.
