American Oystercatcher feeding - New Jersey

Adult American Oystercatcher feeding on clams:

Lately, I’m going through my older videos and I stumbled upon this clip. I cannot believe that it’s been over 5 years since this day. I remember it like it was yesterday. Fun times watching this bird feeding in a shallow water, constantly picking up new clam.

This was the same day, and the same bird, that I took this photograph:

This is one of my favorite photographs from this particular spot that I visit every year.

I will be including this location in my, soon to be released, “Shorebirds of the Tri-state Area” location guide. This guide will be covering 9 of my favorite locations to photograph shorebirds during the annual Fall / Southbound migration. It will cover 3 most productive spots for each state: New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. Currently, I’m taking preorders at the discounted price. This will be the only time to get this guide at this low price! You can find out more, here: https://www.greggard.com/location-guides/shorebirds-tri-state-nj-ny-ct-photography-ebook
