Looking back at this past nesting season, this was most likely one of my favorite mornings at the Nickerson Beach, NY this summer. It was so much fun to see these young skimmers skimming for the first time in their life. I’m very grateful that I can watch these birds from the moment their hatch, grow up and take their first flight every year.
