Sanderling feeding on worms in slow-motion - New Jersey

 

Ever wondered, if those frantically running, between the waves, Sanderlings are catching anything? Here is a slow motion clip showing that actually they are very successful in catching their next meal:

Amazing thing to me is that this shorebird was able to see that worm underwater, from far away, with worm most likely being deep in the sand. Pretty cool, isn't it?
