Common Eider landing - New England

Below photograph shows Common Eiders coming for a landing:

On this particular day, ducks were landing a little bit further away / sooner that I was hoping for. This allowed me to get wider shots like the one above showing more than one approaching. Luckily, I was still able to crop the image and separate the juvenile male eider:

I like the way these ducks spread their wings and feet right before the landing. Landing itself is even more fun to watch. I will post a photo soon.
