When exploring the marshes of the Delaware Bay in Southern New Jersey, I came upon a large flock of migrating shorebirds resting in the tall grass. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect to find there while I was walking in the mud but the effort was well worth it. Thus far, I photographed Black-bellied Plovers only on the beaches, feeding along the ocean. It was refreshing to find them in a different landscape. I can’t wait to revisit these locations again this year 🤩
