I was very happy to be positioned towards the sun on this outing as the setting sun lit up this young bird’s down feathers in the very interesting way, creating a halo / rim light.

I’m hoping to get another chance to get into a similar situation this upcoming shorebird nesting season in New Jersey. Fingers crossed!😁
